2 Month Check up and other things

Archer had his 2 month checkup yesterday.
Poor little bug had to get his shots and have his PKU done.
He didn't seem to mind the PKU so much. He just seemed rather irritated that I wouldn't hold him. And yes, I know he is a baby but that kid can give you an evil glare when he wants to.
Then came the part that broke my heart. His 3 shots right into the leg. He was crying the saddest little cry I have ever heard. And as soon as it was over he just held onto me and was not going to let go any time soon.

The Dr. did his exam and it turns out Archer has a herniated belly button just like his daddy did. Apparently it's nothing to worry about though! And here is the cool part...well not really that cool, sad actually but its just cool because my MOMMY-RADAR is working...So I just had this feeling that something was wrong with Archer in the manly department. And it was just a feeling that I couldn't shake so I looked up a few things. I came across an article that I felt explained Archer to a T. But of course I just thought I was being paranoid, and forgot about it.

So when the Dr. was checking Archer down there he said "Ahh, I knew it, come here and look at this mom" And just as the article said, Archer has Congenital Hydrocele. Which basically means a valve in his scrottum didn't close when his stuff dropped. So they fill up with fluid and can cause problems if it is not taken care of.
Which is SO sad. No wonder the kid has the biggest set of junk I have ever seen. And that is exactly why he is always so sad whenever I wipe them. Because it HURTS!

Well, he may have to have surgery. So we need to watch it the next few weeks, and if it doesn't start to go away then they will have to go in and repair, and drain the fluid. My poor poor little monster! I feel so bad for him. But I guess it is a same day procedure. So that's good! But I do have MOM-DAR!
It was an unfortunate way of finding out though....

Archer stats:

Weight 11 lbs 15.5 oz     50th percentile
 Height 22 inches            25th percentile

He is a little on the short side. But Dr. Corry said it is because he was born a tad bit early.
He should grow up to be big and strong and tall like his daddy.

I took a video of Archer's little cry. He is so tired he can hardly stay awake to cry. Its so sad :(

All day today and the rest of the day yesterday he has been SOOO sleepy, and very clingy. I feel so bad for the kid. He is miserable.

In other news:

Friday I meet with Dr. Hunt to talk about my surgery. I have never met this guy, so it will be nice to get to know the guy who will be operating on me. I will post more about that later.

Anyways other then Dr. appointments and getting Callan ready for Basic training nothing much is going on!

Stay tuned for our next adventure.
Until Next Time.
