The last few days have been filled with fun, laughter and good memories. I have found that every day has something fun, and beautiful to look back on... I am so happy with everything in my life. And I love EVERYTHING about it.

Callan finally got his date for basic training, and his job! We are so excited!!! Our lives are finally starting to fall into place. Its a wonderful thing to know where we will be going and what we will be doing in our lives.
I know that we don't exactly KNOW what will happen tomorrow, or even 5 minutes from now. But, its amazing to me to have an idea of what my life will be like in the near future.
Callan will be leaving for San Antonio, Texas on November 27. He will be at basic training at Lackland Air Force base for 8.5 weeks. Archer and I will be headed down to Arizona to be by my parents. After basic, Callan heads to Goodfellow, TX for tech school until May of 2013. After that, he will get his first duty station, and we will head off into the unknown!

A few memories from the past few days:

My grandma and I took a trip to Idaho to visit my Aunt Camille in Idaho Falls.
We had such a fun time, shopping, eating. and watching movies. My auntie has the most beautiful house. She has an adorable family, and home! She is amazing, and is such a good auntie! I love her SO  much!!! I had such a good trip. I can't wait to see her again!
Welcome to Idaho!

What is he laughing about?!

New born pictures

The love of my life is already six weeks old! I can't believe it! So... I am a little late on getting his newborn pictures, he was five weeks old when these were taken... But what can you do? Life gets busy, and I think these turned out pretty dang perfect!! There are so many adorable ones, so it was hard to just pick a few to put on the blog! So Callan and I picked our favorites!

An update on Archer:
He loves to cuddle, and be held! He sleeps through the night. Occasionally he wakes up once at 2am....but we think that is pretty good for a 6 week old!

He loves bath time, and his fur-brothers Thor and Zuko.
He loves his binky and his baby Einstien movie. His most favorite activity is eat mommy, and any lady... haha and he loves his car rides, but not so much getting into his car seat.

The worst part of the day is diaper changes and getting nakie or getting dressed! Its the worst!!

Archer loves to coo and look around and his bright, big world.

We absolutely LOVE him. He is pretty dang perfect!

Happenings....

Archer, Archer and more Archer!!!! Here are some pictures of my beautiful baby boy over the last month! Yes... he is a month old! I can't even believe it! He is so perfect in every way, and is such a quiet little guy. He only cries when hes hungry. And will let me know every 2-3 hours that its time to eat! Hes very punctual! Archer loves his bright, big world. And he has so many people who love him. I can't imagine my life without him. I love being a mommy. It is such a wonderful thing. I just can't believe I can love someone so much! For someone so small he sure has captured my heart. More to come!!!

Labor and Delivery

Well, it's been quite a while since I have gotten the time to update my blog! So I will be posting our recent activity in my next few posts so I can get caught up! Well the reason I haven't been up to posting too much, is that I have been WAY to busy.

Sir Archer decided to make his appearance on July 13 2012 at 10:35 pm
He weighed 7lbs and was 21 inches long.

We went into the OB Emergency Room at the University of Utah hospital on Wednesday night because I had peed pure blood. TMI sorry! So they checked my blood pressure which had sky rocketed once again. They decided to check me into the Labor and Delivery and induce my labor that night. Uhhh crazy!

Since my blood pressure was so high I had to have a magnesium drip which was awful! It made me SOOO sick, and made me so out of it. I also had the epidural which was AMAZING!! The only thing was I wasn't dilated AT ALL, and being my first pregnancy we had to wait 48 hours before my cervix decided to open. And let me tell you, those 2 days were horrible!

I was so sick, and so hungry, and just wanted to get him out! I wasn't allowed to get out of bed AT ALL because of my blood pressure, and the magnesium drip They tried every induction method possible for 2 days, and they had broken my water, so we had 24 hours to get him out, or it would be a c-section.

Finally my mom and I were just hanging out at 10:00pm and I honestly felt something DROP, but since I hadn't been progressing at all, and when they had checked me a half hour earlier and I was on at a 4, I didn't think anything of it. Callan had gone to take my siblings to our apartment so if I had Archer any time soon they could be close by.

The nurses came in a few minutes later and checked me again, and I had dilated to a 91/2!! But they said it would take about an hour to get to a 10, and that I would be pushing for a while. So I quickly called Callan, and within 20 minutes I was ready! It was crazy! My Dr. couldn't make it to the delivery so I had all of the on call staff, who were amazing! I pushed for 10 minutes and he was out! It was only 8 pushes! And he had to be rushed over to a table to get the mecconium sucked out of his poor little lungs. Which is exactly what happened to me when I was born! It was  LONG labor and the easiest part was pushing! Well, thats my labor and delivery story. Haha
