The long and winding road of life....

Hello all! I am so bad at updating my blog all the time. Mainly because I don't have internet at my apartment, so I use the wifi room. I could use my phone to update my blog, but that just takes WAY too long, and makes things more difficult.

Now, life is still pretty much the same. Its interesting how busy its about to get, and how not busy it is right now. Like the calm before the storm... a storm that will last the next 18 years.... This should be FUN!
Well as of today I have 50 days until my due date! WHOO HOO! But, I am quite confident sir Archer will be here much sooner than that. Why? Well, I am being induced! I am happy they decided to do that. Well, they kind of have to... I am high risk and with my nuerofibromatosis there is NO way they would let me go into labor by myself. Which I am just fine with. I will find out June 7 when my baby boy will be here. Can't wait!!!

Another fun event happening hopefully in the next few days, as in tomorrow, will be finding out which job Callan got, we already know hes intell, and when his ship out date for basic training will be. Fingers crossed we find out tomorrow!

Callans birthday is on June 3 but I threw him a birthday party a week early with his family(mom, stepdad, stepmom, dad and all of his siblings but dustin and brennan) and some of mine because we will be busy busy busy on his actual birthday! It was also my first experience with throwing a party on my own. And it went quite nicely! There were a few bumps in the road but it was so much fun, and turned out great!

My grandpa Terry, uncle Robert and the birthday boy!
Getting ready to blow out all 23 candles on his super awesome Captain America shield cake I made. Yeah... I am pretty great!

My handsome birthday boy! I love him so much!

Melanie and Lester, Callans mom and step dad. Love you guys! We are so glad you came!
Rex eating..... sorry! Haha I didnt take very many pictures, and this is the only one I had!

Back to my awesome cake...... :))

Hill Air Force Base Air-show Memorial Day weekend

Over Memorial Day weekend Hill Air Force base was having an air-show that of course we attended! Callans dad Rex and his cousin Shaine tagged along too! It was a very fun day, it was a little chilly, and started to rain, but nonetheless we still had a lot of fun! And I must say my iPhone takes fabulous pictures!!!

I put this picture in black and white just because it makes it look way awesome! One of those cool planes doing way awesome, super dangerous stunts flying past us at a billion miles an hour. Yeah... my mind is BLOWN!

My handsome husband is such a good sport! He let me take a ton of pictures of him next to everything. Haha Love him.
This is a GIANT missile thingy off a way cool plane, one of these days I will know the proper terms, and names for everything. Until then, bear with me as I am sure I am making a fool out of myself, by calling it the giant missile thingy.
Yet another missile.... Callans face is priceless.... Its like "what the heck?" haha

This is a plane that drops missiles out its bottom... ummm that sounds strange, lets try that again..... This planes under carriage opens up and drops missiles. Yeah, way cool! Callan is standing under where the missiles are launched from.
Callan and his dad Rex. They are so fun. His dad is so proud of him. I love how supportive Rex has been of Callans choice to join the Air Force. It means a lot to Callan, and it means a lot to me! We love you very much Rex. This is a GREAT picture of you both!
Love this picture of Callan and Rex. Its absolutely wonderful!

There were a ton of parachute jumpers, and one had the American Flag and jumped out while our national anthem was being playing, and it was so moving, and just a beautiful experience. I can honestly say I had to choke back tears during that. I can blame it on the pregnancy, but that would be lying! It was such a powerful moment, and I am so proud of my husband for making the selfless choice to serve our country. I am so honored that I will be living among the men and women who give their lives and time to fight for my freedom. I am truly honored to be a military wife. And lets not forget the military families. I don't know yet exactly what it feels like to be a military wife. But I know that it is a very BIG sacrifice. And in some ways much harder than being a military member ourselves. I will have some big shoes to fill if I am going to live up to courageous and strong women and men who are at home raising their families while their other half is away. It is a hard job, and not many people can do it. I hope that I can have the strength and patience that they do. But only time will tell.

Olivias Corner

So as most of you know my baby sister Olivia is basically my world.
She is such a little spitfire and I LOVE her to death! We are best friends, and best sisters,
So I have decided that I am going to write a few things every now and then on Olivia.
As you can imagine her and I talk A LOT. She is 8 years old, and has such a beautiful view on life.
She is extremely funny and I find myself always laughing every time I talk with her. So I think I will share a few things she says Just because it always makes my day!

I will start with a few stories, conversations and just some funny things Olivia has said for now.

A few weeks ago when I was talking with Olivia on the phone our conversation goes as follows:

Aubrie: Olivia, when do you think you will come up to see me next?
Olivia: for the wash! We are all coming to your wash!
A: whats the wash?
O: your wash!!! You know with the baby?
A: what? Where we wash his clothes?
O: no... Where he gets presents!!
A: what?..... Oh! The shower?!
O: ya! The shower!

This had me laughing so hard! My sister is so adorable! Haha LOVE!!!

Heres our phone conversation from last night:

Aubrie: hey squishy! How are you?
Olivia: hey auby. I am okay just very tired. Want to know why?
A: sure. Are you okay?
O: ya. But something really bad happened to me.
A: oh no! What happened?
O: today was my day for gym at school. And we were playing base ball... (her voice cracks a lit...tle bit when she says base ball)
A: oh? Was it fun?
O: ya. But this boy in my class was hitting the ball and he hit me in the head with the bat.
A: uh oh!! Why did he do that?
O: I don't know. But I fell down and went to see Marta.
A: Marta? Who is Marta?
O: she is my friend.
A: oh. Did she take care of you?
O: ya she loves me. I'm her little red.
A: wait, who is Marta?
O: she gives out bandaids and medicine to hurt kids at school.
A: oh the nurse?
O: ya. But she is my Marta.
A: oh well I hope you feel better!
O: I will don't worry Marta fixed me. And don't worry aubrie I am in good hands with Marta. She could take care of you too if you came down here. Maybe she could help you have archer.
A: ya. Well maybe!

Oh Olivia! If only it were that simple! :)

More fun conversations and funny things from Olivia to come!!!

Tid bits

So the past week or so has been pretty busy. Callan is going to MEPS Monday :) he will be signing his contract and from there we just wait for an opening to leave for boot camp! And then we can get this show on the road!! I can't wait! I haven't really touched on the subject of Callan joining the airforce at all. So I guess now is as good of time as any!

Well, basically Callan got this amazing job at kennecot copper mine under a private contractor who works on the property. Callans job is extremely hard work! He gets up by 5:00 am every day and is out the door by 5:30. His work starts at 6ish and he works outside all day until 3pm and is home to me by 4! This job has been such a blessing and we are so grateful that Callan has a steady income and such a good job. But we realized that with a baby on the way that this job works for 2 people just fine, but for a family it would just be really difficult.. So after much deliberation and a lot of research Callan and I decided to go back the military route.

For those of you who don't know, Callan was enlisted in the Navy last year and was set to leave March 13 of this year. But since I wasn't supposed to be pregnant due to my health Callan made the call to opt out of the navy. And since I am having an okay pregnancy (for my health normally it's been fantastic) Callan and I decided that since I am doing great we would both love up take up the military life again. So we chose the Air force. :) we are both thrilled! And Callan had a very high score on the AVSAB test and qualified for every job available in the airforce. So we have been spending the past few weeks looking at which jobs he is interested in, and which jobs work best for or family and the future.

At MEPS he will sign his contract and list the jobs he chose. Which they are all "intell" jobs so we will basically be going to tech school in Montaray California sometime next year and since all the intell jobs have a tech school longer than 20 weeks I will go with him! We are so excited! Our summer is basically booked! This month is our last month to relax for I'm sure the next 18 or so years!

Starting in June we have callans bday on the 3! Im working with his dad to plan a surprise camping trip for him. And since its basically our last Summer in Utah and our last time to really spend time with his family before starting out on our adventure it will be a lot of fun! I hope it all works out!!

Then MTV will be back around the 5! And we will film, and be busy with them. We have a baby shower on the 9th and our first anniversary on the 11th. From there we have the 14th-17th booked with 2 baby showers, Lagoon, fathers day as lots of family summer fun! From there we will continue to get ready for our little man!

July should be fun! We have another Lagoon day with all 10 of callans siblings mad step siblings and the 4th of July with them all! Kind of a last hurrah for callans youngest brother Quinton who is going on his mission to London, England at the end of August. Then Archer will be here! And the rest of July will be filled with learning to be a mommy and daddy.

Ahhh! August! Achers baby blessing and Quintons farewell as well as callans (end of August or beginning of September) So lots of celebrating, parties, and farewells and welcoming new lives! And saying goodbye to old ones! And as soon as Callan heads out Archer and I will head south to Arizona to stay with my family! Archer will have 2 uncles and a very protective Aunt and a proud nana and grandpa to help him and his mommy while dad is gone! So there will be plenty of love and support to go around!

This year is going to be exciting! I'm so proud of my husband for working to hard to be physically fit and training for basic training. He is so brave and loving and such a great provider for me! He is such a good man to leave me and his son to go away for 8 weeks (possibly longer) to become apart of our countrys military. I am proud to be his wife! :)
