Mums Day

So last year for Fathers Day I did a post every week about the best father figures in mine and Callans life. This year for Mothers Day (although I am a tad bit late on the week by week thing) I figured I would do the same kind of thing. But obviously in less time since I am a huge blogging slacker!!!
Well first off I want to start off by saying how amazing motherhood is. Its simple, yet complicated, rewarding and worrisome. Stressful, constant and beautiful all at the same time. A mothers job is never over. I have heard that said over and over again, but I never really "got it" until I became a mommy myself. Even after Archer was is bed last night I found myself making mental notes on what needs to happen the next day ie...

Add diapers and wipes to shopping list
Make Dr. Appointment for Archer and self(Lord help me)
Change Archers sheets
Get baby sunscreen
Baby Tylenol
Butt Paste
Research ways to make baby less scared of BIG bathtub
and then of course it transitioned into other random thoughts....

When do babys start talking?
I hope Archer doesn't wake up soon, what am I saying he sleeps through the night now...when did he start doing that again? Oh ya... 6 months. What a smart little guy I have...
I want another baby...
No I don't... that would be awful!
I love the name Nigel...
Why didn't I name Archer Nigel, jeeze.... is it too late to legally apply for a name change?
No no hes an Archer...
I miss having a baby bump...
And finally sleep and at 2 am Archer wanted to get up and eat! Honestly kid... I guess that's what I get for thinking good thought about you...

Anyways, my point is a Mums job is never done, even if your just thinking about what needs to happen the next day, or if your kids poop is too runny, you're still spending your time and energy thinking about the carbon copy sleeping peacefully in the next room.
Needless to say, as a mom I have began to appreciate other moms a whole lot more. Its a tough job.

So for our first featured mom I am doing a mom who I think is a very beautiful person inside and out. This woman does it all, and then some. And yes, she is ALL THAT AND A BAG OF CHIPS thankyouverymuch. My beautiful Grandma Gail is the most kindhearted and loving human being on this planet. She is my best friend. She would do anything for anyone, and I have no idea where I would be or who I would be without her. She is a very good mummy. She started at the ripe old age of 17 with my very own motherdearest. She has told me so many stories of her struggles and trials raising a baby by herself at such a young age. She had 3 more babies after that, and they are all beautifully done if I do say so myself.
My grandma is all about family. Family ALWAYS comes first. And I love that about her. She is always there for me no matter what, and always knows exactly what to say to make everything okay. I call her every day, just to talk. And I always call her when I have issues. She is nothing short of phenomenal.
Thank you for being the best MOM, GRANDMA,GREAT GRANDMA, GRANDMOTHER-IN-LAW, LIFE COACH, PERSONAL MOTIVATOR, SISTER, AUNT, DAUGHTER, WIFE, AND FRIEND that anyone could ask for.
I love you Grandma!
