Over Memorial Day weekend Hill Air Force base was having an air-show that of course we attended! Callans dad Rex and his cousin Shaine tagged along too! It was a very fun day, it was a little chilly, and started to rain, but nonetheless we still had a lot of fun! And I must say my iPhone takes fabulous pictures!!!
My handsome husband is such a good sport! He let me take a ton of pictures of him next to everything. Haha Love him.
This is a GIANT missile thingy off a way cool plane, one of these days I will know the proper terms, and names for everything. Until then, bear with me as I am sure I am making a fool out of myself, by calling it the giant missile thingy.
Yet another missile.... Callans face is priceless.... Its like "what the heck?" haha
This is a plane that drops missiles out its bottom... ummm that sounds strange, lets try that again..... This planes under carriage opens up and drops missiles. Yeah, way cool! Callan is standing under where the missiles are launched from.
Callan and his dad Rex. They are so fun. His dad is so proud of him. I love how supportive Rex has been of Callans choice to join the Air Force. It means a lot to Callan, and it means a lot to me! We love you very much Rex. This is a GREAT picture of you both!
Love this picture of Callan and Rex. Its absolutely wonderful!
There were a ton of parachute jumpers, and one had the American Flag and jumped out while our national anthem was being playing, and it was so moving, and just a beautiful experience. I can honestly say I had to choke back tears during that. I can blame it on the pregnancy, but that would be lying! It was such a powerful moment, and I am so proud of my husband for making the selfless choice to serve our country. I am so honored that I will be living among the men and women who give their lives and time to fight for my freedom. I am truly honored to be a military wife. And lets not forget the military families. I don't know yet exactly what it feels like to be a military wife. But I know that it is a very BIG sacrifice. And in some ways much harder than being a military member ourselves. I will have some big shoes to fill if I am going to live up to courageous and strong women and men who are at home raising their families while their other half is away. It is a hard job, and not many people can do it. I hope that I can have the strength and patience that they do. But only time will tell.
